Meet the Herd
Meet the current herd members of CCHR.
(Check back often as our herd changes based on rescues and adoptions.
Not all horses may be shown.)

Project Stand By Me
Sponsoring a CCHR Horse
CCHR horse sponsors commit to covering some of the expenses necessary to keep our CCHR herd happy and healthy. On average, it costs more than $3,000 each year per horse to provide food and water, as well as dental, veterinary, and hoof care. Because everyone who works with the horses to feed, clean, groom, and train is a volunteer, every penny of your sponsorship goes directly to your horse's basic needs.
Meet Our Sanctuary Horses
The horses we rescue will either find loving new homes or live out their lives at the CCHR Ranch due to advanced age or disability.
Here are our permanent herd members.
The CCHR Equine Ambassadors
"I am a part of all that I have met"
How do we ensure that there is a next generation of horse rescuers?
These two American Miniature Horses, Taffy and Rosie, have the very important job of community outreach for CCHR.
CCHR RAINBOW BRIDGE
“Somewhere… in time’s own space, there must be some sweet, pastured place
Where creeks sing on — and tall trees grow, some paradise where horses go,
For by the love that guides my pen, I know great horses live again.”
