CCHR has completed the setup of a new round pen at its sanctuary in Ojai! The round pen was made possible by a generous grant from the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty) Equine Fund. This space is especially critical during the beginning phases of equine rehabilitation and offers the horses a very safe and sheltered area to begin their return to mental, emotional and physical health. The new pen is one component of the holistic or "whole horse" rehabilitation process that CCHR supports and engages in. Many of the horses CCHR rescues come to the rescue having suffered and this rehabilitation pen will play a critical part in the healing process of many of the horses who have been brought into the sanctuary of the CCHR.
We are so deeply appreciative of the support and funding that the ASPCA Equine Fund has so generously provided to us and for all they do to ensure the protection and care of horses in the United States. Thank you, ASPCA Equine Fund!
