​The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) has honored California Coastal Horse Rescue (CCHR) with a matching grant of $10,000 to turn unused land into pasture areas. Funds also will be used to place road base on a dirt road that becomes impassable during wet weather. Now, it is up to CCHR to raise the additional $10,000 needed to receive the grant and complete the project.

The pasture would be a two-fold benefit, as it would provide turnout/exercise space for our horses and give us an area that would let potential adopters spend quality time and work with the horse(s) they are considering adopting in hopes of increasing adoptions and, thus, allow more horses to be saved.
